Andrew Turner

Chartered Financial Planner & Pension Transfer Specialist
Andrew is the Director, and launched Karrek Financial in 2004. He has worked in the Finance industry since 1981. He is highly qualified, achieving Chartered status in 2012 and became a Fellow of the Professional Finance Society in 2013. In addition, he holds a masters degree (MSc) in Financial Services and Business Management. Andrew is considered to be at the pinnacle of academic achievement within the Financial Services industry. His experience includes work as a Pension Transfer Specialist, which he performed for clients from all over the UK. Andrew uses his considerable knowledge as a Chartered Financial Planner to guide clients, enabling them to meet their financial goals and aspirations.
When not at the office or meeting new clients Andrew likes to spend his spare time travelling, playing golf or flying around the UK keeping up his skills as a private pilot.
Richard Olive

Chartered Financial Planner
Richard worked for a number of insurance companies before joining Karrek in 2001. He recently gained chartered status (2016) and his areas of expertise include Investment Planning, Retirement and Pension Planning and Life Assurance. When not working Richard likes going to the gym and spending time with his family.
Jonathan Hannaford

Financial Adviser
I joined Karrek in June 2019 as a trainee Financial Adviser having come from a career of selling VW Commercial Vehicles for the last 7 years. I have gone through the Openwork Academy achieving Financial Adviser status in around 7 months. My work will be dealing with client’s investments, pensions and protection.
When not working my passion is sport having particular interest in football as a Newcastle fan and basketball as a LA Lakers fan. I also spend a lot of my time walking my dog, goldendoodle, Ozzo.
Carolyn Bennett CeFA, ACIB
Client Relationship Manager
Carolyn has been working with Karrek since 2013. Her role is to connect and empathise with people at all different life stages and income brackets and a genuine passion for identifying areas of need and finding solutions to financial planning gaps. When not working Carolyn likes to travel, go to the theatre, walk her dog, salsa dancing and going to the gym.
James Turner

Data Manager, Information Processing Administrator and General Insurance Adviser
James spreads his time between all members of the team ensuring the data and information is up to date and managed appropriately. James is the current IKTA European Light Heavyweight Kickboxing Champion and was recently inducted into the 2023 UK Martial Arts Hall Of Fame with the Legend In The Martial Arts Award. James recently co-authored his first book, ‘Full Contact Kickboxing: A Complete Guide To Training And Strategies’.
Jackie Davies
Office Administrator
Jackie has been part of the Karrek team since 2003. Jackie will very often be found chasing pensions & investments information or processing service administration. You will most likely hear the friendly voice of Jackie if you call the office. When not at work Jackie loves keeping fit at the gym or attending the local life saving club where she is a member.
Kay Turner
Admin Support
Kay is Andrew’s wife and co-director. Kay is Andrew’s secretary, administration support and Karrek’s corporate events co-ordinator. Out of the office, Kay is a active member of St. Austell Soroptimists, an international women’s organisation, working and supporting women and girls. Kay is a talented musician, an organist, singer and arranger, having once passed an audition for the Blackpool Tower Wurlitzer! She enjoys spending time with her family, sons James and George.
